What is ViperSoftX RAT

ViperSoftX RAT is a remote access trojan (RAT), first detected in 2019. It’s primarily a cryptocurrency stealer. It essentially redirects cryptocurrency transactions you make to the wallets that belongs to the malicious actors operating the trojan. It does that by replacing the wallet addresses with another one in clipboard data when you’re making a transaction. While it primarily is a cryptocurrency stealer, operators can also use it to download and initiate malware on an infected computer, such as ransomware.

The trojan shouldn’t be an issue if you have anti-virus software installed, as it would immediately detect and remove ViperSoftX RAT.
