What is SamoRAT malware

SamoRAT malware is a remote access trojan (RAT) that allows its operators access to the infected computer. It’s also not uncommon for malware to be disguised as torrents for popular movies, episodes of TV shows, games, software, etc. If you use torrents to download copyrighted content, you are likely aware of the risks. However, just to remind you, you should always check torrent reviews, score, files, etc., before downloading.

Malware can also spread via fake downloads. You may get redirected to certain websites or shown ads that claim you need to install an update. If you do download it, you end up with some kind of malware or PUP infection. For future reference, keep in mind that legitimate update notifications will be shown by the programs themselves, not in ads in your browser.
