What is ContentCleaner?

ContentCleaner is a system optimization tool developed by SaveSoft LLC. It is supposed to help you clean your system, protect your privacy, and keep your personal files safe. Unfortunately, the application is not quite as useful as it claims to be. It gets distributed through freeware and shareware bundles, which is never a good sign. The utility is classified as potentially unwanted. We suggest that you terminate ContentCleaner and use a more reliable tool in order to keep your computer clean and safeguarded.

How does ContentCleaner work?

Although it seems like ContentCleaner is a free application at first, that is not actually the case. Once you install the utility and scan your system with it, you are presented with a list of outdated entries and other components that should be eliminated from your system. If you choose to remove these components, the application will state that you need to purchase its full version in order to do so. Deleting them will not actually affect your computer performance or make it significantly better. Moreover, the program may also have adware capabilities and insert commercials into all of your browsers. We advise against spending your money on the suspicious tool. In fact, what you should do is delete ContentCleaner as soon as you can.

As it has already been mentioned, ContentCleaner gets distributed with the help of free third party software. It comes bundled with freeware and appears in its installation wizard as an additional offer. In most cases, computer users simply do not notice the offer and thus agree to it automatically. That is why it is so important to be attentive during freeware installation. You can avoid installing potentially unwanted applications, if you choose Advanced or Custom installation mode and deselect all programs that are unfamiliar to you. That way you will be able to install only the software that is actually necessary to you and avoid all unreliable apps.

How to remove ContentCleaner?
