About Happydayzz

Happydayzz is a ransomware type of virus that will encrypt your files and then ask that you pay to get them back. You must have recently opened a malicious email attachment or fell for a fake download, and that is how ransomware managed to enter your computer. Ransomware is one of the most dangerous types of malware out there because permanent file loss is very common. Once the files are encrypted, you will be given the option of paying but we do not recommend it. The people behind Happydayzz are cyber criminals and they do not feel obligated to give you a decryption key even if you pay. They will most likely just take your money and leave your files encrypted. We suggest you remove Happydayzz instead of complying with the demands. If you had backup prior to infection, you would not need to worry about file loss and can just recover your files from there after you delete Happydayzz.

How does Happydayzz spread?

Ransomware usually spreads via malicious email attachments, fake downloads and exploit kits. The most common way to get infected is via email attachments. All you have to do is open the attachments and the ransomware downloads onto your computer. This is why you should never open email attachments from people you do not know without first making sure that it is safe to do so. Learn about how to recognize malicious emails and exercise caution when dealing with them. We also recommend refraining from downloading content from unreliable sources because what you may end up downloading is malware. If you are in need of something, use official/legitimate web pages to obtain it. Keeping your software up-to-date is also recommended because then ransomware would not be able to take advantage of security vulnerabilities on your computer.

What does Happydayzz do?

Once the ransomware enters your computer, you will find that all your files have been encrypted. File names will be changed and the .happydayzz file extension will be added. You will then see ransom note that will have information about what has happened and how to restore your files. You are asked to pay a certain amount of money in order to restore your files. Unfortunately, it is not possible to decrypt the files another way. Nevertheless, we do not recommend paying. There is little chance you will get your files back because ransomware developers will probably just take your money. This is why having backup is so essential. Had you had it, you would not need to worry about file encryption because you could get your files back at any time after you delete Happydayzz. We strongly suggest you invest in reliable backup.

Happydayzz removal

In order to remove Happydayzz from the computer, you will have to get professional anti-malware software. The program would take care to erase Happydayzz fully but unfortunately, it would not decrypt your files. We do not suggest manual Happydayzz removal because you may damage your computer if you perform some steps incorrectly.
