What is ContentPush?

ContentPush is an application that claims to offer users various online games but is actually adware. Its primary purpose is to generate targeted ads that bring money to developers. It generates pop ups, banners and other intrusive ads and while it might seem like only a slight annoyance, clicking on those ads could lead you to potentially dangerous websites. ContentPush has an official website where you can download the application but you also can get it as an additional item when installing software from the Internet. While it poses as an application that lets you play games, we do not recommend you trust it and instead choose to remove ContentPush.

How did ContentPush get on my computer

As mentioned before, you can download ContentPush from their website. It’s offered as a deal where you can get free access to premium games if you download the application. If you do not remember downloading ContentPush, you most likely got it when you installed free software onto your computer. This technique is nothing new and has been used to spread adware and browser hijackers for years. Some free software comes with additional items that the user usually does not even notice. That is because most users go through the installation process in Default settings. If you want to make sure no additional and potentially harmful items are being installed, always use Advanced (Custom) settings when installing anything. It will show you everything that is being installed along with the free applications. This will help you avoid going through the trouble of having to uninstall ContentPush adware and similar.

What does ContentPush do

ContentPush claims to want to give you access to premium games, but once it’s on your computer, it will start collecting information about you in order to generate targeted ads. Your search history, web pages you visited and similar information is accessible to ContentPush. When it gathers the information, it will sell it to third parties and then you’ll see an increase in ads, strangely relevant to you. Them having access to your information and later selling it should be enough reason to delete ContentPush.

Ads might seem like a non serious problem but in reality, it can be a very big issue. If you happen to click on an ad, whether it was intentional or not, you could be redirected to a website that could have malware. This can lead to your computer being infected with viruses, and they’re not something you want to have on your computer. In order to avoid serious trouble, we recommend you delete ContentPush.

How to terminate ContentPush

We advise you to make the decision to uninstall AcradeBuny. If the intrusive ads are not enough reason, we hope the fact that they collect and sell your personal information is. ContentPush removal can be done manually and automatically. Using an anti-malware software is advisable but instructions on how to remove ContentPush manually will be provided below.
