Crypren virus Removal Instructions (Uninstall Crypren virus)
Crypren virus is a very serious threat that falls into the category of ransomware. It can infiltrate your computer without your notice. Its main purpose is to extort money from you. The way that it attempts to achieve that is by encrypting your files and claiming that the only way to get them is by submitting a payment.
The sum of the so-called ransom may vary, but it has to be made in Bitcoins. Needless to say, you should not waste your money, because there is no way to be sure that your files will be decrypted after you pay the cyber crooks. We advise that you terminate Crypren virus as soon as you can.
The infection spreads online through free software bundles, fake adverts, corrupted links, spam emails, and so on. Once it gets access to your PC, it starts encrypting your files including your videos, photos, documents, presentations, and more. All corrupted files have the .ENCRYPTED extension added to their name. After the encryption process is complete, the ransomware also creates READ_THIS_DECRYPT files that contain the ransom note.
The notification that comes from the hackers states that your files have been encrypted with a private key generated for your computer. It also states that you can retrieve your data by making a payment in Bitcoins to a unique address within a week. After the time runs out, the key will be destroyed. It is clear that the cyber criminals are using scare tactics in order to pressure into paying them. You should not do that. Instead, we recommend that you delete Crypren virus from your computer. Once you do that, you will be able to try other options of recovering the files affected by the infection.
