Virus Removal Instructions Virus, also known as JohnyCryptor Ransomware, is a harmful application aimed at making money off of computer users. It can slither into your computer without your notice and encode your data files.

The encoded files can no longer be accessed by anyone. This is when the malware presents you with a solution, which is to pay a certain amount of money in order to get the key that will unlock your data. You should not transfer your money to the criminals or even contact them, because that may not result in you getting your files back. We advise that you terminate Virus without further delay. Virus-How does Virus work?

There is nothing unique about Virus. It is similar to other programs of this type like BadBlock, CryptoWall, TeslaCrypt, zCrypt, etc. It gets distributed through spam emails, corrupted links, fake ads, malign software bundles, and so on. Once inside, it starts encrypting your data right away. It affects various file formats including exe, jpg, avi, mp3, mp4, doc, ppt, and many more. The only files that the ransomware leaves alone are the system files stored in the %WINDIR% folder.

As soon as the encryption process is over, the infection creates several instructions files named “How to decrypt your files”. It also changes your desktop background, so that you see the instructions right away. They state that you should contact the hackers via or the alternative email, If you do that, there is no question that you will be asked to pay the ransom. Regardless of how much that is, you should not waste your money by supporting the cyber crooks. Especially considering the fact, that you cannot be sure that they will restore your files afterwards. You should try other recovery methods. Before you do, however, you have to delete Virus from your PC completely.
