What is Razy 5.0 ransomware

Razy 5.0 is a ransomware type of virus and is an updated version of Razy ransomware. It spreads via email, users are sent an Adobe document and when they try to open it, the virus infects the computer. It encrypts computer files, including photos, videos, documents, presentations, etc. Once the encryption process is complete, a ransom note will appear, saying you have to pay in order to get the encryption key to restore the files. Previous experience with ransomware shows that hackers very rarely give the decryption key after the money is payed so we advise you not to pay or make contact with the criminals. What you should do instead, is remove Razy 5.0 ransomware.

How did I get infected with Razy 5.0 ransomware

For years, computer specialists have been saying not to open spam emails but it seems most users do no pay attention to that warning. They then end up infected with ransomware. We can not stress this enough, do not open spam emails. Razy 5.0 ransomware spreads exactly like that, by spam email. You get a spam email saying that there are important documents attached to that email and, whether it’s fear that you might miss something important or just simple curiosity, you open the attachment. And there you go, you just downloaded a virus onto your computer. Though, if you have a reliable antivirus program, you might still have time to prevent a possible infection. Unless someone releases a decryption key for the files encrypted by Razy 5.0 ransomware, there’s little chance you will get them back. Delete Razy 5.0 ransomware and do not fund them.

How does Razy 5.0 ransomware affect my computer

Once your computer is infected, Razy 5.0 ransomware will encrypt files and attach the .razy file extension. When the process is complete, a message will appear, saying that your files have been encrypted. The criminals say that if you pay, they will send you a decryption key, which you would then use to restore your files. They only ask for €10, which is a very small amount if you compare it with other ransomware that asks for hundreds of euros. We don’t recommend you pay them, they don’t really care about your files and are only after money. Do not waste time and instead focus on Razy 5.0 ransomware removal.

How do I remove Razy 5.0 ransomware

Unfortunately, file recovery is currently not possible but a decryption key might be developed. In order to avoid such damages in the future, make sure you have backup for all your files.
